Slide-out topper fabric torn

A torn slide topper isn't urgent on its own, but it lets debris and water sit on top of the slide when it's out, which becomes a real problem over time. Small tears can be patched with the right fabric repair tape as a stopgap, but full replacement is usually cheaper than people expect if you catch it before the roller mechanism gets damaged. Check the roller tube for rust or binding while you're up there — that's the more expensive failure if it's ignored. How big is the tear and is the roller still turning smooth?
