Window seal letting in water during rain

🔧 Repair & Diagnostics

Water intrusion around windows during rain (not driving) points to the seal or the sealant bead around the frame, not the window mechanism. Check the exterior sealant for cracking or separation first — it's the cheapest thing to fix and the most common cause. If sealant looks fine, pull the interior trim and check for a compressed or torn gasket between the window and the wall. Track exactly where the water is coming from (top corner, bottom, a specific side) before resealing anything, since resealing the wrong spot just delays finding the real leak. Where's the water actually showing up?
