A roof vent fan that gets power (you hear a hum or see the switch light up) but doesn't spin is usually a seized bearing or a stripped fan blade coupling — common after a long storage period with humidity in the vent housing. If there's no sound or power indication at all, check the breaker and the switch itself before assuming the fan motor is bad. Does it hum at all, or completely silent?
