Generator won't start after storage

Generators that sat unused for a season and won't start are almost always fuel-related — stale gas gumming up the carburetor, especially on smaller portable units without fuel stabilizer treatment before storage. Pull the spark plug and check for spark first (quick, free test), then move to fuel system if spark is confirmed good. If it's propane-fed, check the regulator and line for anything that degraded during storage. Gas or propane unit, and did you run stabilizer before storing it?
