Shore power pedestal has power but rig shows none

If the campground pedestal tests fine but your rig shows no power at all, work backward from the pedestal: check your shore power cord for damage (a kinked or chewed cord is more common than people think), then check the main breaker inside the rig, then the surge protector/EMS if you have one — many will silently cut power on a wiring fault at the pedestal without any visible alarm depending on the model. Confirmed power at the pedestal itself with a separate tester, or just visually?
