Temperature compensation on charge controllers adjusts the charging voltage based on ambient temperature, which matters a lot for lead-acid batteries but is usually irrelevant (or actively wrong to enable) for lithium batteries, which want a flat charge voltage regardless of temperature. If you switched to lithium and kept a lead-acid charge profile with temp comp still active, that's a real mismatch worth fixing. What battery chemistry, and is temp comp currently on or off?
